During Advent, Top Church in Dudley will be holding a series of services and events as it moves towards reopening as one of two resourcing churches in the Diocese.
Since Top Church was officially closed for the refurbishment, the congregation has been meeting together on a weekly basis at Provision House, a charity based just across the road from the Top Church building.
The Revd James Treasure said: “It’s been great to see so many people continuing to come to our Sunday afternoon gatherings, around 110 people have been engaging with us regularly each week.”
Communities Minister, Kath Poole, has also been busy ahead of the relaunch, reaching out into the community to research what’s currently happening and planning a number of community activities, which will start in the New Year.
Clare Soar, Youth and Children’s Minister, has started to offer chaplaincy at the local church schools and Dudley College.
James continued: “We’ve still had lots going on while we haven’t had our own worship space, but are looking forward to coming back into the church during December!”
Please pray for Top Church as the congregation begin to move back in to their building after the refurbishment.
