Nativities are a staple of the Advent season and amongst the many which have taken place this year were those organised by children’s choir, Singing Angels in Gornal and Sedgley, and the Junior Church at St John’s in Bedwardine in Worcester.
Singing Angels, who have recently celebrated their third birthday, took their Nativity on a tour around their local churches. One of their performances was merged with the annual church carol service, where adults joined the children in singing the more traditional tunes.
Meanwhile, children in the parish of St John’s Bedwardine took to the stage last week, skillfully retelling the story of Christmas, accompanied by our best-loved carols. Their nativity was followed by a well-earned celebratory tea for all.
Pray that the joy and wonder of the Nativity brings light to all those who witness it. We give thanks for all those children and adults who take part in
its retellings each year.
