Deanery, giving thanks for their vocation and ministry over the years and asking that
retirement might be for them a time of refreshment and renewal. We give thanks too
for the continuing ministry many are able to offer in our parishes.

Earlier this year, Stourport Deanery held their annual Celebration of Ministry at Abberley
Village Hall with the theme of “journey to Ascension”.
There was a good attendance with over 60 people. The journey included songs,
dramatic readings, a creative session, and ended with prayers.
Deanery Secretary, Peter Cook said:
“This was a great way to come together from across the deanery, to enjoy fun, food and
fellowship and to affirm lay ministry in the presence of God and one another. People
enjoyed the informal and relaxed nature of the evening and being able to worship
together.
On behalf of the deanery, I’d like to thank Vikki Day (Deanery Lay Mission Developer)
who led us though the evening, the lay planning team who were enabled to tap into
their creative gifts, Martin Baty for the photography and all who took part evening
making it a joy and success.”
