Sun 15th Jun – Noahs Ark at the Three Counties Show

Noah’s Ark at the Three Counties Show Adults and children alike will be finding refuge at the Church Tent at this weekend’s Three Counties Show. This year’s tent has a Noah’s Ark theme, with the opportunity get up close to a range of different animals thanks to our friends at Shortwood Farm. And in the families’ area, we are thinking about waiting and time, asking: ‘What would you ask Noah?’ ‘What are you waiting for in your life?’ ‘How do you feel when it rains?’ and ‘How has God answered your prayers?’ There are opportunities to hear and join in with the story of Noah through the weekend – in song, in Godly Play and in Open the Book. And of course, there will also be crafts – a chance to make a creative mess -and a chill out area for the youngest visitors and their parents. The stage outside the church tent will be buzzing throughout the weekend, with performances from our church schools, the Worcester Ukulele Club Band and our very own Busking Vicars! There will also be the chance to watch a stonemason at work or get tips on organic gardening. And as in previous years, the tent provides the opportunity for frazzled show-goers to sit down and enjoy a reasonably-priced, fair trade cup of proper coffee with a slice of homemade cake. And if they’d like, the chance to share a prayer or chat to one of our chaplains over coffee, or peruse some books from the Lyttelton Well Bookshop. Please pray for all those involved in organising this year’s church tent at the Three Counties Show and for all those who will visit. Rural Dean: Hugh Burton Lay Chair: June Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland: Bishop Agnes Sigurdardotti with Bishops Kristjan Ingolfsson and Solveig Gudmundsdottir The Spanish Reformed Episcopal Church: Bishop Carlos Lozano The Church of the Province of Myanmar (Burma): Archbishop Stephen Myint Oo
