This week is the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall when people overcame
dictatorship with candles and prayers. Pray for this witness especially in the face of
today’s increasing social divisions, that people may be encouraged and inspired by this
story in these difficult times. May God strengthen the Church’s faith and courage to
stand up for freedom and solidarity.
