Today is Remembrance Sunday, when
we remember all those who fought,
and fell, for our country and to protect
our freedom, not just in the First and
Second World Wars but in all conflicts
since. We remember the sacrifices that
they made so that we could live the
lives that we live today.
In today’s world we often see hatred rather than love for one another. There is hatred
in every terrorist bombing. There is hatred in every nuclear threat. As Christians, we
should be a light in this darkness, showing love to those around us and making known
the everlasting hope that is found in Jesus Christ. As Christians we can make changes
and actively pray for peace.
Pray for all suffering and conflict going on in the world right now, that those affected
may know God’s love and peace during these horrific times, particularly those who
have lost loved ones. Pray for a quick resolution to the many conflicts raging across the
globe, that peace may be swift and certain.
