This weekend, 16 people are being ordained to serve in parishes across the Diocese.
Yesterday, 12 candidates were ordained priests in the Cathedral, having completed
their first year in their parishes; they are now able to preside at the Holy Communion.
A further 4 candidates will be ordained deacon today in the Cathedral and are entering
their first year of training as a curate.
Bishop John will ordain both the priests and the deacons, supported by Bishop Graham.
Bishop David Wilbourne, Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of York, is preaching
at both services, having led the pre-ordination retreat for candidates.
