Kingdom Arts Festival, St George’s Worcester

Kingdom Arts is a monthly Fresh Expression
group based at St George’s, Worcester
which explores faith and spirituality
creatively. This group for adults follows a
Messy Church pattern, where craft activities
are followed by a time for reflection, worship
and the sharing of a simple lunch. Over the
last year, the group have covered a variety of
themes from Scripture, including parables,
water, psalms and the miracles of Jesus.

The annual Kingdom Arts Festival takes place this week from Thursday 6 to Saturday
8 June, coinciding with Pentecost and the end of the Thy Kingdom Come ten days of
prayer. During the festival, the group’s artworks will be exhibited in church, including
poetry, paintings, textiles, models and paper craftwork. This year, the local school are
also involved and their artwork based on stories from the Bible will be added to the
exhibition. Visitors from churches and school children will take part in various biblically-themed creative workshops over the weekend. Music groups will provide entertainment
and visitors will have the opportunity to use the Quiet Garden and prayer areas around
the church for personal reflection.

This free event is a great way of involving the local community and opening up the church.
Kingdom Arts provides a creative way for people to express their faith and engage with
one another. Find out more about Kingdom Arts at: http://kingdom-arts.co.uk.

Please pray that the Kingdom Arts Festival will encourage more people to explore and grow
their faith, and to connect with others from local parishes during this Pentecost season.
