Throughout Advent and Christmas this year,
the Church of England will be running the
#GodWithUs campaign and they are
encouraging all parishes to get involved.
Archbishop Justin Welby said:
“The constant refrain of Christmas, in
carols and readings, is that God is with us.
In whatever situations you find yourself this Christmas, God is with you – you need only turn to him and ask to know his presence.”
There will be content shared on social media and the Church of England website with people talking about their Christmas journeys. Churches will be able to upload details of their Christmas services onto the revamped A Church Near You website (www.achurchnearyou.com).
Also available will be a series of short reflections throughout December and into early January 2018, introduced by Archbishop Justin. The reflections have been written for people who are new to faith and to help us all grow in our love of God.
The reflections can be received as text messages, emails, on social media and in a booklet produced by Church House Publishing, ideal for churches to give to those attending Advent and Christmas services.
Please look out for the reflections and encourage as many people as possible to get involved.
Pray for the Church of England’s Christmas campaign, #GodWithUs and that more people will come to know the love of Jesus this Christmas-time.
