On 9 November in 1938 (Kristallnacht), Jewish businesses, houses, and synagogues
were looted and destroyed and an unknown number of Jews were murdered. We may
never be able to do justice to the victims but by remembering, we pray that we may never
see this again. We ask God for courage to stand up against the demons and violence of
nationalistic ideologies.
